I built this machine to replace my Pentium 3 machine. This has become the main system that I use. I started building it in late 2002, but several of the components (notably the graphics and sound cards) weren't released for quite a long time, so the machine was sitting half-built in a corner for several months.

Motherboard.	Asus P4T533 i850 motherboard, with on-board Promise RAID controller.
Operating system.	Windows XP Profesional.
Interfaces.	P/S2 mouse and keyboard. Dual 9-pin serial ports. Parallel port. Two USB 1.1 ports and two USB 2.0 ports (with additional USB header on motherboard). On-board sound (speakers and headphones out, microphone in).
Monitor.	Iiyama Vision Master Pro 450 19" (A901HT)..
Drives.	3.5" floppy drive. Dual Western Digital WD800JB 80 Gb ATA-100 drives (run in RAID 1 configuration). Pioneer DVD-106 slot-loading ATA-66 DVD-ROM drive. Sony DRU-500AX ATA-33 DVD rewriter.
Expansion cards.	ATI All-in-Wonder Radeon 9700 (128 Mb RAM, AGP). Creative Labs Soundblaster Audigy 2 Platinum Ex. Intel PRO/100S Desktop LAN card.
Peripherals fitted.	Yamaha YST-M15 speakers. Canon BJC-6100 printer. Asus USB media reader.
